This huge jungle covered plateau is home to the simian Vanara. Being somewhat primative, the Vanara live in small tribal groups. There are no cities, towns and only a few villages. Although, if the abandoned temple complexes are any indication the plateau was once the home of a large and sophisticated civilization. Perhaps the ancestors of the Vanara, perhaps some other people entirely.
Many exotic goods are harvested by the Vanara and provide lucrative trade. But even the most cutthroat merchants deal fairly with the locals as the Coutal, Winged Serpents and avatars of the Vanaran god Quetzalcoatl, are quick to punish those who do not.
